This is Peyton!

She is a member of my Senior Ambassador Team for the class of '23! I photographed Peyton at a beautiful wooded pond in Weddington. Peyton is an absolute dream to photograph, and she braved the frigid temperatures that morning with me. NC weather, right?!

Here are some Fast Facts about Peyton!

High School: Weddington High School

Activities: At the school I play field hockey for the field hockey club. throughout middle school and freshman year I was involved in the schools musicals.

Favorite Food: Spaghetti

Favorite Song: Swim Good by Frank Ocean

Something you can't live without: My answer is probably common and basic, but it’s the truth, sadly one thing I cannot live without is my phone. It is my main way of communication with people. (Same, girl, same!)

Favorite trends of 2022/23: My favorite trend is flare leggings along with mom jeans. Majority of my outfits are revolved around both of those. I also feel like majority of people have started listening to country music more, I used to hate country but now I found a love for it.

Where do you hope to attend college? High Point University

What will you study there? Interior Design

Who is the teacher that impacted you the most?

Mr. pooler, he was my teacher my freshman year and I will have him again my senior year. He always looks at the positive things, and never lets the negative things bring him down. That has inspired me very much because I am person that lets negative things affect me.

What is the best part about being a Senior?

I think the best thing about being a senior is being a role model for freshman or underclassmen. It’s also exciting to know the next journey in life is going to begin soon.

What is your dream job?

My dream job is to be an interior designer for both retail and commercial. Along with that I wanna be a home stager on the side.

What is something about you that would surprise people?

People would be surprised to know that I love writing poetry when I have a hard time expressing my feelings to other people. It’s another way to “rant” about my problems without it causing any more problems.

What is something you are grateful for?

I am grateful to have family and friends that support me with everything that I do, and when I’m in my wrong they will help me figure out ways to make it more right.

What is the best advice for parents have given you?

The best advice my parents have given me was to ignore what people think. You can’t live to your full expectation if you sit around listening to peoples harsh judgments.

What shout outs or thank you's that you would like to share?

I would like to thank my family overall for always being there, especially my mom who is always there to talk to about all my problems, even dumb high school drama.

I am honored to feature amazing Seniors, like Peyton, in our community. I'm proud to help them document and celebrate this important year.

I love being able to create true art in a senior session. This session had lots of variety and beautiful visuals that make my artist heart happy.

Thank you so much to Peyton and her mom, Lara, for being a part of my Team and being open to my vision. Your support is wonderful and so appreciated!

Congratulations, Peyton and the Class of '23!
